We only require that you pay in advance for telemedicine appointments at the time they are booked. This is to speed up and streamline the process. You can also pay in advance for in-person appointments, however this is not required to book the appointment online. Also, keep in mind we provide a full refund if you are not approved, so don't worry theres no risk if you do pay in advance.

HOW MUCH DOES THE STATE CHARGE FOR A CARD? WHAT'S THE APPLICATION FEE? ARE THERE ANY FEES ASSOCIATED WITH MAKING CHANGES TO MY ACCOUNT?

The state charges $40 to process your application.

There are no additional fees to designate a caregiver or make amendments to your account.
HOW DO I ADD/BECOME A CAREGIVER?
CAN I ADD A CAREGIVER ONLINE?

Add caregiver to Section C of the patient paper application when applying for a new or renewal card. If the patient already has a non-expired card, or is being certified online, submit a paper add or change caregiver form for caregiver to be added to patients existing account.

There is currently no way to add or change a caregiver online. You must submit the paper add or change caregiver form after the patient has been certified online. You can, however, remove a caregiver online.

Caregiver will need valid proof of Michigan residency (driver's license, state ID, etc) and submit to a criminal background check.

There is no fee to add, change, or remove a caregiver.
HOW LONG BEFORE MY CARD EXPIRES CAN I APPLY FOR A NEW CARD?

The renewal period for patients is 90 days. In other words, you can apply for a new card up to 90 days prior to your current card's expiration date.
HOW LONG CAN I USE MY APPROVAL EMAIL AS A TEMPORARY CARD TO ACCESS DISPENSARIES?

30 days. You can use your approval email for 30 days while waiting for your card to arrive in the mail. After 30 days, the approval email is not longer valid and a hard card must be used to access dispensaries. You will also need to show a valid non-expired photo ID (drivers license, State ID, etc) at the dispensaries.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE HOMEPAGES FOR THE MICHIGAN MARIJUANA REGULATORY AGENCY (MRA) AND THE MICHIGAN MEDICAL MARIJUANA PROGRAM (MMMP)?
FOR HOW LONG IS MY SIGNED APPLICATION AND PHYSICIAN CERTIFICATION VALID? IN OTHER WORDS, HOW LONG DO I HAVE AFTER SEEING THE DOCTOR TO SEND MY PAPERWORK IN TO THE STATE?

6 months from the date of signature. If the signature is older than 6 months, you will need to fill out a new application and get a new signed physician certification from the doctor.
IF MY APPLICATION IS DENIED, DO I HAVE TO PAY AGAIN WHEN I REAPPLY ? FOR HOW LONG IS MY APPLICATION FEE VALID?

The application fee from a denied application can be used for 6 months. In other words, you have 6 months to reapply free of charge. If you do not reapply within 6 months, you will have to pay another $40 application fee.
